My cat, Carlito, had a swollen paw for awhile, but was otherwise active and behaving normally. My original vet kept pushing antibiotics and steroids, barely even examined Carlito and had no good explanation to why I should put my cat on all those drugs. I came to Astoria Veterinary, and Carlito was examined by Dr. Gentile, who really gave him a thorough exam which was focused on range of motion. Carlito let Dr. Gentile move his legs all over the place without a hiss, growl, or hint of protest. Dr. Gentile didn't push drugs and gave me a good explanation of what was causing the swollen paw. And, Carlito's paw is now fine. I found a good vet, and will be bring Carlito and his brother there from now on. Emily

My cats (pets 4) (strays at least 20) have been under the care of the fine Doctors and support staff for the past 25 years and I trust them completely. Everyone is always helpful and extremely caring in a time of crisis, and especially loving with the death of a longtime companion, Charlie @ 21yrs. Thank you, and I look forward to your services in the decades to come. Marie
